The construction of Zero Energy Eco-houses moved a step closer to realisation with the approval of a scheme to build four self-sufficient homes near Beverley, East Yorkshire.
Local architect Kobi Co has specified Beco WALLFORM for construction of the passive energy building fabric and a combination of heat pump and wind turbines to produce the energy needed for the live-work units – with expectation that surplus energy fed back into the National Grid will produce a small but regular income for the homeowners.
