Increasingly there are signs that the Government is beginning to recognise the major benefits of making our buildings more energy efficient by investing in the building fabric rather than just focussing on renewable to meet growing energy demand.
Better insulated buildings reduce energy demand (and bills!) and have no maintenance or replacement costs.
The Sustainable Energy Association’s Manifesto, published on 7th July, is a further positive endorsement of the economic advantages of investing more in the building fabric and not just on energy generation.
